Effective: August 22, 2026 · Version 1.0
This Privacy Policy explains how Max Options Trading Cards LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Max Options Trading Cards and MOT Cards ("MOT," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use maxoptionstradingcards.com, our applications, and related services (the "Services"). It also describes the choices and rights you have.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do use advertising and analytics tools (Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity) that may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. You can turn these off at any time using Cookie preferences at the top of this page or in the site footer. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
1. Information we collect
You provide it
- Account: email address, username, password (stored as a hash), and account settings.
- Identity and payout details: when you withdraw from your wallet, Stripe collects your legal name, date of birth, address, bank or debit card details, and government ID where required. Stripe sends us verification status, not your ID documents or full financial account numbers.
- PSA Vault transfers: the email address on your PSA Vault account, and the one-time code you enter to verify it.
- Support: the contents of tickets, emails, and chat messages you send us, plus any attachments.
- Tax information: a Form W-9 or similar, if your payouts require tax reporting.
Collected automatically
- Transactions: deposits, pack purchases, openings and outcomes, sell-backs, transfers, withdrawals, and wallet ledger entries.
- Device and usage: IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, clicks and session activity, timestamps, and diagnostic logs and error reports.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5.
From third parties
- Payment and identity verification results from Stripe; fraud and bot-detection signals from Cloudflare; card market data from Card Ladder (not personal data); transfer confirmations from PSA.
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, biometric data, or sensitive categories such as health, race, or religion.
2. How we use information
- Operate the Services: create and secure your account, process deposits, openings, sell-backs, transfers, and withdrawals, and show your collection and wallet.
- Verify identity, age, and eligibility; prevent fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and multiple accounts; comply with anti-money-laundering and sanctions obligations.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, withdrawal status, PSA transfer codes). These are not marketing and you cannot opt out while you have an account.
- Send marketing emails about packs and promotions, if you opt in; every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Understand how the Services are used and improve them, using analytics cookies only with your consent.
- Measure and target advertising, using marketing cookies only with your consent.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of MOT, our users, and others.
Legal bases (EEA/UK). Where GDPR applies we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), your consent (non-essential cookies, marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
- Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery), Stripe (payments, payouts, identity verification), Cloudflare (security, bot protection, CDN), Resend (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring), Crisp (support chat), and Plausible (privacy-preserving analytics, consent-gated).
- Advertising and analytics partners that may use data for their own purposes, only with your consent: Meta (Meta Pixel), Google (Google Analytics 4), and Microsoft (Clarity). These partners receive device identifiers, IP address, page activity, and hashed identifiers and may combine them with data they hold.
- PSA (Collectors Universe): the PSA Vault account email you provide and the card details needed to complete a transfer.
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, auditors) under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities and other parties when required by law, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our Terms; or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing except through the consent-gated advertising tools listed above.
4. Your choices
- Cookie preferences: change analytics and marketing consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link (top of this page and in the footer).
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal we treat it as an opt-out of sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or update your profile settings.
- Account data: update your email, username, and password in account settings.
- Delete your account: request deletion from account settings or by emailing privacy@maxoptionstrading.com. Withdraw eligible balances and transfer or sell back cards first; see the Terms for what happens to items left in a closed account.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use three categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential (always on): sign-in sessions, security and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), load balancing, your cookie choices, and fraud prevention. The Services do not work without these.
- Analytics (consent required): Plausible, Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity, used to understand which pages and features are used, diagnose problems, and improve the Services. Clarity may record anonymized session replays and heatmaps.
- Marketing (consent required): Meta Pixel and Google advertising features, used to measure ad campaigns and show you relevant ads on other platforms.
Analytics and marketing scripts are not loaded until you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie preferences. Blocking cookies in your browser may prevent sign-in.
6. Data retention
- Account and profile data: for as long as your account is open, then up to 90 days after closure to complete outstanding transactions and handle disputes.
- Transaction, wallet, withdrawal, and tax records: 7 years after the transaction, as required for financial, tax, and anti-fraud compliance, even if your account is closed.
- Identity verification results and fraud signals: up to 5 years after account closure, to prevent repeat abuse.
- Support tickets: 3 years after closure.
- Server logs and diagnostic data: up to 12 months.
- Cookie consent records: 12 months, to evidence your choices.
We delete or de-identify data when these periods end unless a legal hold requires otherwise.
7. Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, breached-password screening, rate limiting and bot protection, access controls, logging, and vendor security reviews. Payment card numbers are handled by Stripe and never stored on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a unique password and notify us at support@maxoptionstrading.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Children
The Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email privacy@maxoptionstrading.com and we will delete the account and data.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention exceptions;
- Port your data in a machine-readable format;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling;
- Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive information for purposes that would trigger this right);
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights;
- Appeal a decision we make on your request.
How to exercise your rights. Email privacy@maxoptionstrading.com from the address on your account, or use the controls in account settings. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming you control the account email, and respond within 45 days (extendable once as the law allows). You may designate an authorized agent; we will ask for proof of authorization. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with "Appeal" in the subject.
California residents. In the preceding 12 months we collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 1 (identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet activity, approximate geolocation, inferences) for the purposes in Section 2, and disclosed them to the recipients in Section 3. We "share" identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising when you consent; you may opt out via Cookie preferences or GPC. We do not sell personal information and have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted by CCPA section 7027(m).
Other U.S. states. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Florida, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the rights above to the extent those laws apply.
